"Choeur International et Ensemble Instrumental de Kigali (C.I.E.I.K)" is a musical, voluntary and non-political organization and any person can become its member without any discrimination based on grounds of sex, origin, race and belief.
Founded in 2006 and granted its legal status in 2008 by the Ministerial order No 26/11 of 11/02/2008. CIEIK aims in general to promote the music in Rwanda and is especially committed to:
• Raise up the level of different styles of songs in Rwanda, starting from the Rwandan traditional music to the Rwandan modern and international music;
• Promote musical talents of members in singing and using modern instruments;
• Give to the Rwandan public the repertoire of songs of different times from different countries;
• Teach the music to children in all school levels;
• Organize high class concerts;
• Promote social works;
• Encourage cooperation between the Rwandan musical groups and the foreign musical groups with the purpose to promote the music in Rwanda.
